Why Cloud Sync?

Managing video assets often means downloading large MP4 files to a mobile device and then manually re-uploading them to cloud storage. With Instavora's Google Drive integration, you can configure your destination folder once and every download will also transfer directly into Google Drive.

How It Works

  1. Connect Account: Click Sign in with Google in the Google Drive section on the homepage.
  2. Grant Access: Google prompts you to authorize Instavora with limited Drive access.
  3. Choose Folder: Use the interactive folder browser to navigate your Google Drive hierarchy and select a target folder.
  4. Download as Usual: Whenever you click Download, the file is saved locally and can also be streamed into the selected Google Drive folder.

OAuth Scopes and Privacy Disclosures

In compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, the application requests the narrowest practical OAuth scopes for this feature:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

Purpose: Allows the server to create and upload new media files into your chosen Google Drive folder.

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly

Purpose: Allows the built-in folder browser to list folder names so you can choose your preferred backup location.

Security and Token Handling

  • No Token Exposure: Access and refresh tokens are encrypted server-side using iron-session in an HttpOnly cookie.
  • No Database Storage: Tokens are not stored in a server-side database.
  • No Data Sharing: Your Google Drive data is never shared with third parties or used for AI training.

How to Disconnect and Revoke Access

You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the homepage Google Drive section, or revoke access directly through your Google Security Settings.
